If you’re aiming to achieve a timeless look with quality and quick results for less than $100…this is your project. Our 70’s stone fireplace appears in the background of so many of our holiday family photos…I had to get this project DONE.

After online and in-store research, I was only able to find the Romabio Classico Limewash concentrate product online via Home Depot or Amazon. I also ordered this masonry brush, but ended up using a regular large paintbrush. Either works well, but bristles must be sturdy since you’re painting on a hard, rough surface. Also, you’ll need a smaller brush to reach the deep grout paths.

Romabio Classico Limewash Review: 5 STAR rating. Time investment: Approximately 3-5 hours. Financial investment: $60 + time. This project also inspired our brick fireplace makeover. Read blog for more details on the limewash process and what to expect.

9 + MONTH UPDATE – MY FAMOUS FIREPLACE
We still love our lime washed stone fireplace. It instantly updated our 70’s sitting room into a modern and warm space. The revamped fireplace has even starred in an award-winning television commercial (along with myself & my baby girl Victoria) airing in Montana & Wyoming!. The Altana Federal Credit Union spot won a Montana Broadcasters Association E.B. Craney commercial production award. Congrats Q2!
